Post by: carolinej on October 04, 2008, 08:03:55
I bought some smoked garlic bulbs from France this year. The smell was too tempting to leave them behind ;D

BUT..... I havent a clue what to do with them.

Any suggestions?

If you have a nice olive oil. Put some with it and let the flavours mingle. I use a decanter for this. The garlic soon infuses so you can use it within a couple of days. For salad dressings or brushing on steaks before grilling.

The oil is lovely dribbled on crusty bread (warm or even toasted) instead of butter with a shake of salt and pepper.

You can also stuff a few bits randomly in that soft Brie Cheese and bake it so that it goes runny and gooey. About 15 mins.
Put some bread rolls in the oven at the same time for a delish snack or starter.
Served with your best salad greens and a dressing made from that oil.

Rub it into chicken skin before roasting.
