I cook all my Winter Squashes in the microwave. I cut them into segments, say 4, and put into an open container skin side down, and microwave till soft. 10 to 15 mins does it for most but depends on size.
Cannot see it in Marshall's cat for 2009.
But in plants of distinction cat  for Sweet Lightning, which they describe as a microwaveable fruit, it says
"Remove the top, empty the seeds and microwave for just 5 mins."

we had some at the w.e. for my mum's birthday. 3 squashes microwaved whole for about 15 minutes, slice the tops off, scooped the seeds out, and filled with a savoury mixture of shallots, bacon, squash and cherry tomatoes. Oh and don't forget to Anthony Worrel Thomson before putting in the micro  :D

they're Sweet Dumpling, from Jeannine (I expect). Chiltern Seeds have them

AWT is a little joke. Haven't you seen the picture of his Celebrity Sausage range? Or was it Ainsley Harriot, or was it Jamie Oliver?  :D
