Title: Ebuyer rip off
Post by: kt. on September 26, 2008, 13:47:42
I have been searching for a Wii Fit for my OH Xmas present.  Curry's,  Comet,  Woolies, Tesco,  Argos, PCworld,  ToysRus and loads of other places are all sold out at the moment. The product retails at £69 at just about all these places.

Ebuyer.com have 172 in stock at £100.    What a rip off.  No doubt some desperate people will pay that price nearer Xmas.   I think my OH might be getting an IOU in a card for Xmas day as I refuse point blank to pay well above the normal retail value.

Yes,I would prefer to give an IOU ,however maybe other firms do not have the buying power that the big firms have :)

Sounds a bit daft I know but Simply be..the fashion online shop and it's affiliates sell stuff like this, and they give 10% off to new customers. I bought electronic stuff last year from them. I had a 25% tempter coupon which they honoured too.. Worth a look maybe.

I actually don't have a problem with them making that extra money!

They have stuck their necks out - bought loads of stock - and are selling it at a higher price than you could get it in the big electronic shops - but they don't have them in stock  - simple really - if you want it - you pay for it!  No one is being pushed to buy it now before Christmas for there is oh 14 or so weeks to go!

Unfortunately it is the usual supply and demand theory.
