Title: fuschia cuttings
Post by: Sparkly on September 21, 2008, 14:50:37
Now we have a greenhouse I am hoping to get propagating plants from seeds and cuttings for the garden and allotment. Does anyone have fuschias that they are willing to send me a few cuttings from? I am looking for smallish bush types, rather than large ones. I have a good variety of seeds I am happy to send in return.  :)

I have just taken a variety of fuschia cuttings.  You could have some if I knew how to pack them and send them off to you.
If your wish is still there, please PM me and I will put it in the post.

I say PM because I usually forget which threads I have contributed to.  ;) ;D

May i sugest a way to pack them Marian.
An empty  water bottle or lemonade which ever size you need leave the top on slit the middle enough to get you plants in  wrapped in plastic or very little damp newspaper,  then sellotape securely put on your lable , Hey Presto & post . Hope this helps Marian.  Mary ;D

Hiya Mary!

Thanks for the tip.  I will give it a go.

Hope you are OK.

Have recently inherited a small mooring (as I live on a boat) and now have small parcel of land to grow stuff.  ;D ;D

Hi Sparkly, I have a small rooted Mrs Popple in the "here 'cos I have nowhere to put it really" corner of my garden.  PM me if you'd liek it.

Cheers
