This flower has sprung up in the middle of my pumpkins does anyone know what it is ? The flower is really pretty and if possible I would like to keep it.

looks like a hollyhock to me :P
Its only about 1 foot high so i didn't think it was a hollyhock....unless there are short versions of it.

Common mallow - malva sylvestris.
These can be a bit of a bugger to get out if you leave them. I grew the cultivated variety this year and they have been (and still are) lovely.
And once they finsh flowering, the leaves look very manky & full of rust.
Then I'll oik them out. ;D
Thanks for your answers !
Duke:)
My first thought were that it was some kind of poppy, but it does look like mallow as well. Difficult to tell without being able to see the leaves.
The leaves you see in the picture are the leaves of the plant I am enquiring about.

Deffo Mallow, no doubt.
thanks for your answers ~ so is this a weed? or do I get rid of it?
Duke :)
It's a wild flower Duke. If you like it , keep it, but make sure it doesn't seed everywhere or take up valuable growing space, it is a bit of a thug. ;D

If it is a weed it is a very pretty weed and would keep it. But I would also heed Emaggie's advice with regard to seeding everywhere.
