First option:

1. Switch on the computer
2. Press F8 repeatedly
3. Select Safemode from the OS choices menu
4. At the log in screen press Enter twice
5. There will be an Administrator account
6. Click on Administrator
7. Click Yes
8. Click on Start
9. Click on Control Panel
10. Click on User Accounts
11. Click on Your account
12. Press Remove Password
13. Press Apply
14. Press OK
15. Restart computer normally

Your password will be blank so just press enter @ login screen then set yourself a new password.

Method 2:
Go to  http://www.pcloginnow.com/ & download the program (it is a 55mb iso file). Burn the file onto a cd. Switch on the computer & place the cd in the drive. PC Login Now will start automatically.
To delete your password, follow the instructions on screen. Choose your operating system installation and then the user name that you want the password deleted for. Be sure to check the password is empty checkbox after choosing your user name. This will remove the password.
Your password will be removed instantly and you'll be asked if you want to reset another user. Choose No and then OK to reboot. You'll see some commands and then your computer will restart. Remove the CD as soon as the computer reboots. If you don't remove it in time PC Login Now will start again. If that happens, just remove the CD and restart manually.

Using PC Login Now causes Windows to detect the possibility of a hard drive issue. Windows will run chkdsk to make sure your data hasn't been corrupted and will then continue loading. Rest assured there is no damage to your hard drive.

You can view your saved password on the laptop very easily. It only takes a few seconds & anyone who has access to your computer can do it which is why it is often reccommended that you don't use the autocomplete/remember me function.

If you are using firefox go to Tools -> Options -> Security -> Show Passwords. And there you have all the passwords that you ever asked Firefox to remember for you. If you use a master password on firefox you will have to type that in before you can view the list.

If you are using internet explorer it is easier to use an external program such as IE PassView.
You can download it here (it's only a 35kb file).
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/iepv.zip
Unzip it click on iepv.exe & it will display all the passwords that internet explorer has saved.

Once you know what your password is your other computer should accept it, if not then clear your temporary internet files & try again.
