Good morning everyone .
A week on Monday [22nd Sept] I am off to the Eden Project and The Lost gardens of Heligan I am looking forwards to seeing them both,
Wish me luck with the weather, I am praying it will improve . surely there is some good weather somewhere [I hope] .
June.
We went to the lost gardens a few years ago.Guess what it rained all day.We still had a great time.I have a photo somewhere of me sheltering under a Gunnera ;D
Hi Betula.
I am glad you enjoyed the garden, I am looking forwards to both places
I could do with a rest and a change of scenery been at the allotment most of the day covering t in black plastic for the winter, and picking, picking, picking, beans have frozen half a freezer full. Given them away TO THE NEIBOURS AND FAMILY still have some to pick .
Lol June.
Personally I prefer Heligan, but they're both well worth a visit. Take your own food when you go to Eden; for some reason they don't have a nice cafe like the one at Heligan. We went round Eden and found every sort of vegetable they grow in Sierra Leone.
The Duchy of Cornwall nursery in ,well just outside Lostwithiel is just brilliant,a real must.Enjoy.
Thanks Robert I will keep it in mind about taking our own food.
You would think the food in the Eden project would be good wouldn't you.
Markfield Rover thanks for your comment about The Dutchie Of Cornwall its another place to visit.
June.
This is a bit late, but I wanted to add my tuppenceworth:
we had great food at Eden ... in the outside cafe, and upstairs inside (tapas on comfy sofas)
I hope you enjoyed your visit ... it bucketed down when we went
