Hi all,
As I'm sure most people know I have another forum, recipes4all, which is much smaller that A4A, and am thinking of merging the two forums.
What do you think?
Cheers
Dan
suits me
Good idea Dan! Will you have it as a board name here with various topics?
I'll probably impot eveyting 'under' the recipe board here, and tidy up some bits n bobs - will have to have a think about duplicated usernames and stuff !
Good thinking dan, saves looking in both if you see what I mean.
Fine by me. Gets my vote. ;)
Think it is a great idea, would def. get more traffic!
Yep, sounds like a good plan to me. Guess it depends what non-allotmenteers who use R4A think?

you mean they'd have to brave us lot to get to the recipes ?;D ;D ;D
;D
Great idea, I forget to look in R4A, so I might find all sorts of lovely ideas more easily!
Sounds brilliant Dan, I can never remember which place I found a recipe so will make it easier! ;)
Thanks. :)
T.
Brilliant idea, Yes please Dan.
Gets my vote too Dan. I never remember to check in over there!
Tricia

Great idea and will make less work for you :)
Yes please Dan ;)
Gets my vote too - in fact I'd looked for something the other day, and thought it was a shame that R4A doesn't get used.
i would like that too :) :)
I forget to look too, so yes please from me.
Gets my vote too Dan :)

I'd really like that, Dan, if it's do-able, please.
Gal can't have too many recipes on hand for all those bl**dy courgettes ;D
Good idea Dan.

Yes, I agree with everyone else, it would be helpful.
Can you let us know when it has happened, please.

Good idea Dan, I always forget to look at R4A but look at this topic regularly.
Regards
Ann
You might as well, no one seems to get up out of the sofa and walk into the next room.
Make it open plan.
I've wandered in a couple of times, on the way to the fridge mainly... ;D
;D
I totally agree. I tend to look at the recipes here and forget about R4A so a merger sounds a good idea.
MP
same here ;D
sounds great to me
I agree as well.

Good idea Dan
Where are you up to with this Dan?
I also like the idea,,,,, qahtan
If you do join the 2 forums together, do you think you could add another topic.
Baking, to cover bread, cakes and pastry. all of these items can incorporate
garden produce if required.... just my 2 cents worth, thanks.
qahtan
sounds a great idea
This merger obviously never materialised as I see the other is still active although no recipes threadded yet ??
I think Dan just uses R4A as a test site and this site has a recipe section anyway. I dont think it is intended to be active.
Thought it was something like that...
There are some good recipes on it though :)
It was a separate site, it did suffer a hack which erased the database.
If there is interest I can relaunch it very easily ....
Its all an A4A so no probs... I just stumbled on the thread..
It surprised me to see it on the front page!
Hello all.
Good idea Dan. Go for it.
Regards
Bluecar
great idea - trust me in my first year of allotmenting I have met so many people who grow all manner of fruit and veg and never do anything with it because they can't find a recipe it makes you want to cry. it also puzzles me!
Nora
There have been some great recipes here on A4A. I do appreciate people who post them.
You could easily add forum board recipe section, and I think it would be very fitting. I'd keep the allotments4all web address though and divert from the other site address to this one.
On another note. Have you considered having a local allotment issues section, so that members can find other members from sites under the same local authority?
For example, the allotment site I have a plot on, is one of the 115 Birmingham City Council sites. Different authorities have different rules and so on, so it would be useful for people to be able to post cetrain questions to an audience interested in a certain regional area.
