I lifted the first plant (of 10) tonight. It's huge!! What can I do with it all and the other 9?
Anyone?
I usually use it in stir fries and stews and curries (mm just another sort of stew really)... I suppose I could make soup?
Jamie Oliver did something special with celery hearts, but I don't know what. I only saw it on Harry Hill's TV Burp where he was taking the Mickey
My Aunt dries the leaves to use in soups and stews - adds flavour just like any herbs do.
Also I've had braised celery before but don't have the recipe? I think it had orange rind added. Sorry I can't give more details!

I always freeze a bag of chopped up celery. It goes under roasts with chopped onion and carrots - all of which caramelize during the roasting and improve the pan juices for making gravy.
Thank you for those excellent suggestions! Meantime about half of this celery is becoming soup:
celery Victoria
onions Red Baron
onion Radar
potato Picasso
mijotant gently in butter
sour cream and M&S gorgonzola waiting in the wings!
So not just M&S celery soup but allotment celery soup where you know where it's been. ;D ;D ;D
Oh and onion bread in the bread machine too.

I'm not normally into this type of comedy but found it quite funny, it was clean, harmless and free from swearing what a difference to everyday TV. not sure if this show is always like that but i enjoyed it :D.
