Title: Squash, when will it grow

Hi all I put squash in the lotty back in july, leaves look good but no fruit as yet has it failed? this is my first yr,

Not quite sure how to tell you this......If you don't have any fruit by now then it is unlikely you will.
It could depend on variety and the weather and how far north you are and when you are expecting your first frost.

i put butternut on lottie in june and today have just noticed 5 fruit  ;D, not sure if they will ripen tho :-\

If you can chuck some frost fleece over them and kid them it is still summer, is might just give you the edge, take it off if it gets hot but be sure to leave it on at night XX Jeannine

My plants still look 'lush' but the fruit don't seem to be expanding much now, if we have some more sunny days it would help.
