Title: Small poly tunnel for melons
Post by: greenscrump on September 03, 2008, 10:42:49
Hi all, I have a melon plant with 5 small fruit (yay!) in a bed at the plot.   I want to cover it with the tunnel, but it's always raining.  Would it be a really bad idea to erect it over a wet plant  ???

Many thanks
Yvonne

I personally wouldn't have thought so as the plant would have morning dew on it,and you could always take it off when it stops raining to blow dry it so to speak but then again what do I know  ??? :-\

What about - Put the tunnel over and leave the ends open for ventilation until drier weather.
