Has anyone tried eating them? According to some of my research they are edible and none that are poisonous have been found to date (not sure I like that 'to date' bit). It's just that I have some lovely large, ripe fruits on some of my plants now and I'm tempted to try them. I'm not interested in making jam/jelly with them, I just wondered what they are like raw.

my neighbour two doors down has a lovely bush not sure of the variety but produces lovely fat almost black berries that my kids and i eat whenever we pass by, keep meaning to ask for a cutting ::) so they taste OK but i have tasted yucky watery ones :P but my neighbour's own is sweet and juicy.
I've tried them and agree that they seem to taste different from different plants, but basically they are sweet and that seems to be about it. Have eaten lots without any ill effect.
tried one this morning, specially for you, not fussed, not much taste, maybe just our fuschia ?
Hey G ... you still with us ?? !! ::) ;D ;)
Tried one today - what a disappointment. :( As Jenny says, just sweet and juicy but no taste as such. ::)

Hmmm... tastier than Goji berries, then.
