Title: Fresh fruit salad
Post by: Grandma on August 31, 2008, 17:11:23
Am making a great big pot for a family meal - in your opinion, is there anything you think I should LEAVE OUT?

I usually use apple juice to sit everything in - do you know of anything better? (Non-alcoholic, please - youngsters with their feet in the trough!)

Thank you xxx

Nope, Grandma, I think it's 'kitchen sink' time, ie whatever you've got, chuck it in. ;D

The only proviso would be bananas.  If you are adding them, leave it till the last minute, as they can go a bit discoloured and mushy.

enjoy.

Thanks, Valmarg! Good time for fruit salad - almost everything available and, if I haven't got any fresh, it's cheap to buy!

Brill way of eating fruit, we use orange juice for the base.
