Title: strawberries

hi all, can anyone give me some advice on moving strawberry plants. when is the best time to move them? ours have spread so much this year they need to go into a lot larger bed. They have stopped friuting now.

They could be moved any time now or September.  Can you not just trim the current plants back?  I think getting the runners to create more plants to put where you want would be easier than trying to move them; and then just doing away with the others.

I am also looking to sort my strawberry plants out at the mo, I have started repotting the runners, but is it best to cut the plants doen to soil level now or just wait a bit longer

I cut mine down last week as I am now working away for another 3 months.  No reason why you couldn't wait another 2 weeks or so.
