I never remember plant names but I recognise them

Both are what I would call rockery plants which spread quickly and will dominate if not kept under control.

They are the sort of thing I would expect to survive in a neglected garden where less hardy plants have perished.

Its a Sedum, I think its probably Sedum spathulifolium

Certainly a Sedum, but more likely the one sold as S. kamtschaticum. S. spathulifolium has grey leaves.

It's definitely a Sedum, very like the one we used to call London Pride when I was a kid.
