we put some 'summer crunch' radish in and picked them today on the due date and they are HUGE.
up to 4 inches long and about 5 inch round
what can we do with them????please????
can they be cooked or are they just for salads??
steve
Can you actually cut them? Mine were inedible after a very short while.
this time of year radishes grow huge, and they're usually not woody at all
They cut very well and taste great
I just wondered if there was anything i could do with them except eating in a salad.
I've got a recipe for winter radish but it doesnt say wether summer ones can be used
steve
The Ostergruss grow huge and I've been slicing them into stir fries. 8)
I would have thought any recipe for Winter Radish woyuld be fine for these too... :)
Must take notes and buy new variety next time.
Emaggie, the Ostergruss a few of us have been raving about come from seeds bought at Lidl....bout 49p a packet?
Cor! that sounds about right to me ;D I'm the only raddish eater here and don't normally bother growing them but I was given some seeds. Didn't think I'd bother again but maybe I will ;D Thanks Lish.
