I thought it was brioche & butter pud, but now I've got a yearning for bread&butter pud, Tim....dried fruit? Lemon zest?

Agree with custard 8) Taking an old tried and true and adding/substituting a bit of this/a bit of that makes a nice dish - but sometimes it travels too far from the original - and sometimes it's the original we want? Now than....crusts of bread...on or off LOL

Crusts on, deffo. But then I like the pud made with brown bread and marmalade, osborne pudding? Some would say that it's heresy, but I hate dried fruit!
