High hopes dashed.

If the spuds are ok dig up NOW and...........enjoy.
but what are the tubers like underground :)
Oh, yes - we're using as needed. But they are miles short of maturity - pity.
So far, they are fine - but I shall leave as many as possible for the usual 3 weeks before trying to store.
And now it's the turn of the Tomatoes. Only had 3 ripe ones!!
Perhaps, with some of the tomatoes, if there's no alternative and if the main stem is still ok, strip off the leaves, cut the entire vine and hang upside down in a sheltered spot? Have read about it but never tried.
Good thinking, but there are so few tomatoes that it's not worth the hassle!
such a shame tim...o well-keep on keeping on!

I'm a bit fed up of collecting cherry tomatoes but I did plant a lot, about 8 plants. Still, my son takes a pile home. This afternoon I found a squashed cherry tomato in my cardie pocket ::)
