I've now taken over the half of the plot directly next to mine, had a fun afternoon with my son picking up the lumps of metal from a rusted air raid shelter, and a load of rotten wood to take down to the recycling Centre. Almost have a blank canvas now......

The paving slabs are now laid, so we have 3/4 of a path!

The view across to my other plot, and the old bean trench being filled in with the turf as it is stripped to make the path and beds.

That is an old greenhouse base, apparently it blew away many moons ago!

There is a path under those dandlions somewhere....

Starting to get going now....an overwinter project!
good luck at least it not a jungle i'm sure you will have it filled to the seams next year. :o
Congratulations on your new plot Deb, if your current plot is anything to go by you'll have the new one looking fab in no time.
When we spoke to you at the open day you said you thought you would be getting half of the plot next door but you seem to be saying you have all of it, is that right??
I've actually got two thirds! ;D 8) Basically everything to the left of the path boardering onto my current plot, it's a fairly big bit of land, about 26' x 75. The gent who has the other third will keep that ticking over until he is ready to give up completely, but hopes to keep more on top of that bit now with less space to manage. I was at the top of the waiting list (had taken 2 years to get there!)when he asked to give some of his plot up, it was either that or wait until a full plot came up, but I thought a part plot right next door to my current one was a good idea as most of my weeds come from there at the moment so I hopefully will have less weeding to do now! ;D
So you'll be aiming for first AND second in the best allotment comp next year!
Oooh I dunno about that.... :o
