Title: fifth show of the season
Post by: LesH on August 18, 2008, 07:59:13
I was not going to enter a local show in one of the nearby villages, but my grandaughter was part of the gymnastic display that was part of the show. I kept getting "oh come on grandad". So the power of grand children.
second, for flowering shrub, I raided my hardy fuchsia bed again
first, for five stems of Rudbeckia
third, for three beetroot
nothing for a primo cabbage
nothing for a truss of cherry tomatoes
second, for a pair of ridge cucumbers. I had to cut twelve to get two the same.
first, for a plate of any other fruit. I put in loganberries.
it cost £1.75 to enter and my winnings were £3.90. As it rained for most of the day the gymnastics was cancelled, as it was to be held outside on the wet grass.

Well done, but what a shame that your grandaughter didn't get to show off her display of gymnastics. Rotten English weather  ::)
