Title: cats and potato sacks!
Post by: Si D on August 17, 2008, 17:49:34
AAAAAAGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!  ::)

So, I go out and buy a cat activity centre because she-that-must-be-obeyed thinks that the cat isn't stimulated enough (I tried telling her that for some animals cleep is a nature state but she wouldn't have it.)

Got the expensive one with scratching bits, climbing bits, sitting bits, dangly balls, etc.

Brought it home and assembed it.  Cat took one look at it and turned its nose up.  Just totally ignores it.

Friday, while bagging up my spuds (oo-er Mrs) I left a hessian sack on the floor, cat starts scratching it, rolling on it, playing with it and won't leave it alone.  The _expensive_ activity centre sits, alone and unloved in a corner.

I swear that that cat does it just to annoy me.

Cats much prefer freshly ironed clothes, fresh bed linen to sleep on, and new furniture/carpets to scratch.  We have all spent money on cat beds, scratching posts etc. but like children they love the box the expensive item comes it.  Who is stupid, the cat owners or the cats.

Our cat has a cat flap into the sun room which has her bed in it which contains an old jumper of daddies + an old singe duvet in there. She has a cover on the settee for when she comes in the house. There is a cushion in our bedroom for her.
Can anyone tell why she is sleeping in an Abel & Cole cardboard box on top of the wheelie bin.
Janet.

When I had my first cats & money was tight, I tied various lengths of string to the washing line and attached assorted coloured balls, squeaky toys, catnip bags etc to each string. I never saw the cats all day and when they did finally crawl indoors they were too knackered to destroy anything.

;D
