Title: Onions- seeds or sets for overwintering?
Post by: caroline7758 on August 17, 2008, 10:53:14
I asked last week about red onion varieties for overwintering, but would you suggest seeds or sets? I've grown summer ones from seed for the first time this year and been pleased with the results (and the money saved!) but would think sets might be more reliable at this time of year?

It would almost be worth trying both to see what works better.

Overwintering SENSHYU seeds are sown now in the ground where you want them to grow.
