Title: my turn to feel sorry for myself!
Post by: Mrs Ava on August 11, 2004, 12:02:55
Feeling right sorry for myself today!  Can't get to the allotment to do any serious work as the little angels really don't want to be there and moan and groan the whole time but  I  had to drag them up there this morning to pick some beans.  Had a look at my brocolli and what do you know, covered in caterpillars and not a leaf left!  Tis my own fault for not getting up there and being more thorough with my checks.  Turnips and swedes have all died a rather miserable death...dunno why.  Weeds everywhere.  House is a mess, can't seem to get on top of it!  Wow, am I a misery or what!  Sorry, just needed to let of steam for 2 minutes before I get back to tackling the housework.  :'( :'( :'(

Emma I know how you feel I wish I could give you a great big hug (and a hand with the dyson and duster!) think it must be something to do with the weather/time of the year.

Just came back from hols, so have holiday blues

Work has gone mad and I now have 5 times more work than if I had been here - been getting home at 7ish

Cant tell my cabbages from the weeds.

Tumblin toms have tumbled off.

Have 6 loads of washing to do and dont even mention the ironing.

Have got partners very house proud relatives visiting on Friday for the weekend and the spiders have taken over the house while we have been away.

And if you would like a laugh the bed base fell to bits last night and I cant get a replacement for 2 weeks so the reli's are goint to have to sleep on the matteress on the floor!!!

But on the plus side I have got to the point where I just dont care anymore. I went and stood in the cow field last night and just screamed until I felt better, gave the cows a bit of a fright but it was a great release.

Cheer up chum at least you have your health and little angels!!!!

Get yourself up the Lottie stand on top of the compost heap and sing at the top of your voice…

Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day I got a wonderful feeling  :o then stop there and hold on to it. 8)

Worked for me. ;D
Roy  ;D ;D ;D

hey EJ, must be contagious!
hospital visiting last night out of the blue, my grandad very ill, being fed by a drip-cause not known although we all suspect cancer. when i walked in i thought i had the wrong bed, i had to check the name sign as i didn't recognise him.
my next door neighbours also have cancer (yes, both) and after doing very well for a while she has been unwell the last week, gone for her treatment today so fingers crossed.
work, although part time has been tricky my last few shifts.
car tax and mot AND service due this month!
other half working far too long hours. of course the ubiquitous housework, motivated myself to get the vaccuum out this morning though and it looks better.
and i really really really have a lot to do in the garden, rain has stopped play!!
still, on the positive side i have a fortnight off after friday and i can't change a lot of the other things, so I try to do enjoyable things to distract myself, and keep happy.
hope you're feeling better, glad the envelope reached you.

Funny how a little rant can make you feel better. ;)

Kerry I'm sorry to hear about your Grandad, I feel really mean now that I let a few trivial things get on top of me, it really is not a good feeling when you cant help the ones you love get better.

Sending all the hugs I can

Sam

Awww, thanks guys.  I got those cyber hugs loud and clear Eileen!  I know it does seem petty, but you know when you just have one of those days.....3 steps forward, 2 1/2 back!  At least my washing dried in the breeze and my toms are ripening in the greenhouse. Now I have hours and hours with of ironing to do!  Oh whoopedeedoodar!

So sorry to hear about your grandad Kerry, and send him and your neighbour my best wishes.  Know what you mean about the car, same as us, tax, service and mot!  Never rains but it pours.

Pixie, we are coming your way over bank holiday weekend, so I am focusing on munching my way through Mr Hockings entire stock of ice cream!  :P

Roy, the other allotmenteers already think I am a touch eccentric!  You want me to fuel their suspicions even further!

Okay, going to stop moaning now and get on with my work. Fanks again guys.

Mr Hockings will kiss it all better   :-*  :-*  :-*

Have to work that weekend  :( but I only do 1 bank holiday a year 10am - 3pm so it isn't too bad.

It is rotten when you mean well, you try hard and you're dead keen and still everything seems to go against you.  You know there are bigger problems in the world but it's human nature to get down about things and you ahve done the best thing in letting off steam here.  Lots of us can truly sympathise (empathise?) with how you feel and it does us good too to know others can feel the same way.

Thanks for sharing all of you - very best wishes.
