Title: Rhubarb
Post by: Bill Door on August 10, 2008, 20:54:55
Well my rhubarb was dying off nicely.  Only a few spindly sticks attached but lying on the ground.  Decided to give the roots a bit of a feed and sprayed them with a weak solution of nettle tea.

Blow me down but all the rhubarb has come to life.  More sticks and buds have come through.  As a control two rhubarb clumps are on their own and they were not fed and they have wilted off.

Anyone else noticed anything with rhubarb recently?

Mine is refusing to die this year!  It starts to look poorly then it rains loads and off it goes again, I know you are not suposed to but every time it makes a new batch of stalks I pick a few!

Oxalic acid in the stalks.

Gout rukes, OK?
