I have a pepper plant 15"--18" tall and on it are 18 peppers in size from hens egg to finger nail, this is the best pepper i have ever grown ;D ;D
not bad for a 20p packet of seeds, but its the only one like it out of 5 plants.
Time yet for them to get bigger... I'm doing well this year.. although my packet was slightly dearer than that!! ;D
Mine haven't done very well at all this year. Flowers are dropping even though I am tickling them every day
Didn't know I was mean't to tickle mine haha. Trouble for me if that i've grown chillis and peppers together and they start off the same the variety I used.
Its the first year I've managed to grow peppers successfully - in the greenhouse and all still growing well despite the persistent lack of sunshine - hope they don't stay green :-\

First year I've grown peppers, but someone gave me a spare plant. I've had to prop it up so much the weight of the fruit is too much for it. About half a dozen golf ball size fruits to far.
Usually I row California Wonder and have always done reasonably well. This year I bought F1 Gypsy Pepper at over 3 x the cost. The slugs have devoured most of the crop. They sure know a good meal when they see it..... :(
I grow a variety of peppers, including chilli, so far had a reasonable crop. The best without a doubt this year are "Tasty Grill", the 12 plants have produced masses.
Gordonsveg, you might have a really prolific strain there - whatever you do, save some seeds from your wonder plant for next year.

Are they indoor or outdoor?
I grow all my pepper plants indoor, I start the seed early. grow some on in large pots, others in grow bags and a few in the soil. The best have been in pots and grow bags, the reason for this I think could be better control of nutrients. Although I am picking on a regular basis I have left a few on this year to see how large they grow before spoiling.

I try growing them in full sun and part sun. They get lots of flowers.
Still no luck at all. Any ideas???????

:D this sounds like me, but this year it looks like there will be success all be it a small one of maybe 4 per plant, but then they are outside. i haven't done anything that different, except kept them covered during a cold spell that last about four weeks after they were planted out. when they got to tall for the cloches i removed it for them to fend for themselves, as i really can't stand having to molly coddle plants. oh i have fed them lots of nettle and comfrey juice.
Am seriously wondering whether to knock pepper growing on the head :( The walls on mine are so thin compared to the shop bought (Californian Wonder), but got a cheapo packet in the Suns recent offer of 10 packets of seed for £1.99. they are Yoyo something or other.
Chilis are doing great tho' ...would recommend Pretty in Purple to everyone, very early to mature to heat, and actually quite an exotic and very pretty plant - would be v. acceptable to grow in conservatories or window sills for those of you with discerning tidy-freak partners ;D

Have you tried misting them in the evenings once they are flowering? It seems to assist the fruit setting.

I'm not into misting anything but myself!
If they're that finicky they aren't for my garden.
I did find one plant which I'd forgotten and it has two thin walled peppers- hardly worth the space it has taken though.
We seem (touch wood) to have had more success this year with peppers in Morrisons buckets, rather than planted out
