I love old tools .When I was on holiday I was thrilled to buy a three pronged
cultivator for four pounds and two sickles, one for two pounds and one for four pounds.
I saw an old line maker in a shop for fifty pounds and really had to talk myself out of buying it.I had no use for it but really wanted to own it.
Anybody else love old tools, are you using them and whats their history.?
;D
What a great topic. I still have my Dad's spirit level. He died in 1991 and every time I use it it makes me think even more of watching him measure stuff and make things. The level is only 6 inches long, metal and nothing special really, but it's very special to me.
;)
There is actually a "horticultural machine society" based in Essex somewhere and we have a little museum in our Schools centre...

I havn't got any old tools, but I do have an old bag that is over 50 years old. ;)
I've got one that's 52 years old really should trade it in for a newer model but as long as the old one is still working.....
