Post by: tim on August 07, 2008, 10:25:12
.....Oregano, Parsley, Celery, Basil, Thyme, Lemon Grass, Pepper, Mustard, Coriander,Onion, Garlic, Poppy seed, Bay, Chilli, Mint & Herb Flowers.

No, not a gourmet's spice cupboard - so what??

I have omitted the main ingredient.

I don't think I'm right, but it would look like a herb bed without rosemary. ;D

Sadly the best quality Nori ever available in Britain was made by us... but we closed down 15 years ago (ahead of our time!)... We used to sell it to a number of Japanese chefs who reckoned the quality was better than anything imported. You can still pick excellent quality fresh Nori in a lot of places around the UK though...

Fidde Payne's Sea Salt!! A bit OTT? - but nice.

CSSV - shame. All I know is Welsh Laver.

Living on the Isle of Man and only a couple of miles form the coast I would like to try and pick my own edible seaweed.

However, I can't find any resources on which seaweed is edible (or nice to eat!) and looking at the beach there seems to be many different types of seaweed.

Even if I can find some Dulse, for example, is it all edible or just certain parts?

Any help/advice? Thanks.
