Never grown sweet potato although I enjoy eating them, the nearest I have got is Delicata squash which has a similar taste. My new crop for next year will be sweet potato, so any advice will be most welcome

They're growing better than mine. I've put them too close to the squashes and courgettes and they're getting smothered.

Here's a shot of my outside plants making a bid for freedom from the buckets.

They were not meant to escape and root down as one of the ideas of growing them in big buckets was to take them under cover as autumn approaches and the tomatoes finish.

No photo but mine are rampant as well, I'm narked you have flowers as well!
Water Melon and Sweet Potatoes seem equally matched in world domination stakes... but by the end of the season....  :-[
