This morning on our brassicas I found lots of nasties!!!!
Unfortunately I didn't have the camera, but would like to know what they were. They are now inside the chooks.
1. A white caterpiller
2. 2 Black pupae type things about 3/4" long surrounded in what looked like cotton wool.
3. Green pupae with triangles sticking out of the middle of it.
4. Lots of tiny eggs, white, which I squished.
Can anyone help please? Hope I have explained myself okay. No. 3 sounds a bit strange.

1. could be a maggot.
2. could be woolly aphid.

I've just found a link to some pest photo's that might help other "newbies".

Thanks Valmarg. I think you are right with 1 but my OH says 2 is probably some kind of chrysalis with a silk coat, & 3 is a large cabage white chrysalis.
