......have opened at last - not had much rain down here at all! (Must be because I threatened to clean the windows ;D)
I wish they'd open here in Middlesex! It's 2 weeks since we had any rain at all and the humidity is stifling.
I've just realised I've left my onions drying on the plot so will have to biike over and get them in the shed just in case.
Have been gardening all day but had to stop a couple of times as we had hail stones then a couple of very heavy showers but they didn't last long enough. The garden is still dry
Just had a huge clap of thunder and a flash of lightening - I guess the rain is on its way...
They've opened here at last! :) :) :) :) :) It was getting unbearably warm, and I decided not to water the beds this evening, - just in case it rained.
The water butts are full again at last.
and here it is, raindrops the size of plates! Loads of thunder and lightening too so I'm off to watch out of the window!
Yup! Thundering and lightning just down the road from you. Darn, too late for the onions now!
Loads of frogs breaking cover here :), plus the big orange slugs :(
LOLOL @ all of the above posters saying "and here" and not saying where you are! So far, it seems the heavens have opened here, here, here and here ;D ;D
It's all there SB! Sussex x 2, Middlesex x 2 and Lorna's Cambs, i think.
Copped some heavy rain this evening however a tadge more would be nice for the lotties to help get shot of you know what from the you know what....I was really hoping to get a good old thunder storm tonight, mind you 3 years ago I was having a ciggy in the utility room with the doors open during a storm and encountered a lightning strike about 12' away from me and our dog as it hit the cast iron parasole base...As quick as you like we both hit the deck when we heared the crack, poor old Taz was a wreck for the rest of the night, that was close enough for me too.
Just started raining big time again as I type.
Cheers
Tony
It looks like we in for it tonight ...

OOh heck .. :)
It seems to be Zig Zagging about down here on the coast at the moment... Talking moments how about a Mr. Fish one "a bit like the 1987 C@ck up"...Grab yourself two tennis rackets Growmore as it is summer and strap them to your feet when navigating your way to your lottie tomorrow as we will be having a 6" snow fall tonight ;.D
Cheers
Tony
