Title: hessian potato sacks
Post by: lottie lou on July 27, 2008, 13:30:24
does anyone know where to buy those hessian potato sacks from that don't charge the horrendous p & p charges that seed companies make?  Alternatively I have heard tht you can make them from burlap, but where would I purchase that from?

I use large brown paper sacks.  Out lottie shop sells them for 20p each.  As for the hessian sacks - Apparently, the sand bags that the army use are supposedly just as good.  Possibly try an army surplus store?

Some pet shops sell them cheap (feed bags) or go to your local chippie and get paper ones for free.

I bought mine from EBay last year, they were misprints, but they serve the purpose as my potatoes cannot read  ;D

Found this, seems like a good deal...

I just bought some for myself ;)
