It was a lovely day here today. At lunchtime I took a break from gardening and sat in the shade of my Passiflora which I've trained over wires across the end of the garden to form a sort of pergola effect. My lunch included home picked Tomatoes and Spring Onions followed by a few Strawberries and as I ate I watched the bees and hoverflies enjoying all the flowers I've grown especially for them. Bliss. ;D

Another happy camper here :) spent a great day in Malvern, while son John was fitting all the window blinds for Charlie's niece (cute little cottage which they bought last year, 1 bed but had 2 more built on) I was sitting in the small garden after a super lunch with a bowl of strawberries & cream!! How beautiful those Malvern hills are. The village (Colwall) has a butcher, baker Post Office etc hope they are not forced out of business by the supermarkets.
sitting on the seat ray has made for me, a plank with foam on and strawberry cloth covering, I was watching bees, too..on the borage and nasturtiums, and i was eating the flowers, with peas and tayberries, doesn't take much to keep me happy ;D
A can of special brew, a donor kebab with extra chillie sauce, sitting in the garden with the sweet smell of bbq smoke from the neighbours and the shouts and loud music from the drunken revellers and screaming kids who have been invited around for their barbies.
Summertime. You can't beat it!
