Title: Underwater hotels - would you?
Post by: SamLouise on July 25, 2008, 09:25:12
Oh, I think they look amazing and if I had money to burn, I definitely would!  The hotel due to open in Dubai will be $5500 per NIGHT!!!  The one already open in Fiji is 15,000 per person per week but only two of those days/nights are spent under the water!  Although I can imagine that 7 days under the water might become a bit too much but can you imagine waking up and seeing all of that marine beauty and being able to walk around and be part of it?  Fantastic!

They do look cool, don't they! But for me, the perfect place to relax has to include some or all of the following: a sunset, a gentle breeze blowing in from the sea (just enough to take the edge of the heat), the smell of someone cooking in olive oil, the taste of a decent local red wine, a dog barking in the distance... I could go on.

No, I'd be thinking of all I could do in our yard with $5,500.
