Hi Guys and Gals,
I am looking at getting a lean to greenhouse to go aginst the back of a double garage something at least 10ft wide (maybe longer if i can afford it) and 6 to 8 ft wide.
How do you stop water damage to the back of the brick wall?
How do you connect this to the wall?
Would you suggest a concrete base and plant into pots or leave the soil open and plant into that?

the highest side of the greenhouse connects to the wall. this is preferably even higher!! then a flashing strip is cut into the brickwork. I suggest a concrete strip foundation, with a low wall, this increases headroom, plant straight into the soil, it's a good moisture reserve, and you can get better root formation. If you remove some soil each year and replace with good compost and well-rotted safe manure, you should have no problems.Paint back wall with a matt black finish, this aids warm up in the winter months. fit auto vents (2) in roof, and louvres (2) low down, also on autovent controls. Hope this helps!
