Now I can get back to serious baking - after most of my tins are passed it.
And no washing up - unless you're pernickety!
Brilliant! I love Jamie. I actually went to his restuarant a few weeks back and had an amazing time, it was wonderful, and the bread and dipping oils served as you as seated, just perfect :P
Just in case anyone should miss the point.
I know that there have been other floppy wares, but mostly too small.
And this is not water - it's just slick!!
PS - can the sloping ends be avoided by shaping the dough?
I've never seen a baker do it.
And now for something entirely different!
tim is that one of those silicone trays if so are they good cos hubby being a chef would love to try them and possibly get them in at work
SO good!! Not cheap - Lakeland - but worth it.
And metal braced, so that they don't flop around. Microwave safe.
Jamie's Rosemary & Raisin recipe is being appreciated at this moment. That's 1.5kg one.
I had also considered them but baulked at the cost....so worth it? Perhaps will have a try, I love Lakeland but always spend too much..... :-\
Yes - even on a pension!!
I agree that flex-moulds are really good. I have a muffin one and it works really well.
...and do they stay cleaner - I find I have to scrub muffin tins and bread tins after using (but may be I'm just a useless cook?) ;D I like browsing and buying in Lakeland too.......I feel another stroll coming on ;D

See my first post?
And the 2nd one is after use!

Hi Tim did the recipe come with the tin? It looks very nice. :)
i recently picked up the silcon donut tray from lakeland half price in the sale. Was going to try delias fat less sponge recipe in the moulds to see how they get on.
Crikey Tim.....that's it - forget the stroll ....just pulling on the running shoes. ;D ;D ;D

hi tesco`s also sell them cheaper than lakeland - joie
Recipe? Yes - but it's on line at Rosemary & Raisin Bread. I put less Raisins in to make it more multi--purpose.
Tesco? Not our country one. Pity!
Just had a go with the recipe. Haven't got a loaf tin yet but baked it on a tray.

Yum.... ;D
Gourmet!!
One thing that the pans do is give the loaf a lovely sheen.

I regularly make bread. What is a flex mould? Also, just wanted to say to Tim that I have had my bread tins for years. Once when I went on a visit to the headquarters of a local and very good bakers I noticed their bread tins were all ancient too. And, I don't believe they get washed. In mine I grease them and then sprinkle with flour and "shake it all about".
Afterwards I wipe them. My grandson gave me an order for big fluffy baps last week. I used Vit C but they were still not as fluffy as I'd like.
I'd like to have a go with flour improver if I knew where to buy it but it sort of beats the principle really.
Vitamin C is an improver.
As to tins - yes, indeed, bakers are still using their 19thC ones. But that is in constant use which keeps them live. I do it in spurts &, meanwhile, the things can rust. And, after 50 years, they are a bit tired. And, anyway, I love to experiment!
Flex mould? Like a bouncy castle?
