I want to put the claim in for the nicest route to an allotment from home-
Here it is in all its photographic glory-

Mine is at the opposite end of the spectrum. Walking 600m from my house, it is on the outskirts of the town, surrounded on 3 sides by urban terrain.
Lucky you, what a lovely route! If I lived at the other side of town, I could walk along the riverside to mine, as it is I drive through town, only about a mile and not too busy, though. If I'm feeling energetic and don't have loads to carry, I cycle (not very often!)
What a wondereful route, I used to walk along there with my grandparents in the 70s, haven't been there in years.

I get to my allotment .................................. in my dreams! ;D
It all looks very lovely AAL. I normally drive but hope when I retire to walk with my 2 cocker spaniels down through the woodland bordering the golf course, I don't think the walk would be more than 20 minutes each way but at the moment I just don't have that kind of time.
I have to drive as it's too far to walk and I either take stuff up or bring stuff home. Nevertheless, it's a fairly pleasant drive along a country road and a short distance through the village. Your journey looks as though it's beautiful any time of year, allaboutliverpool, great photos.
I walk through my back garden... ;D
a 25 minute walk thru urban jungle with 2 kiddies, one in the double or single pushchair dependent on how much stuff im carrying, the other grumbling along next to me (are we there yet???) usuaully we get to the gate swap kiddies in the puschair n then theres a mad dash to the plot to see who can eat the picnic the quickest, usually results in me going without, lil monsties! the walk would b ok i guess if it wasnt all uphill!!! argh!!! theres a site closer but i took it to be full as i coiuld never get anyone on the phone to have a look, also up a hill but only 15mins away, siiigh, oh well, think of how fit well be at the end of the summer!! walking digging more walking...
10 minute walk along side the local playing fields
Just a few minutes walk alongside a busy outer London road.
Ten minute walk through the village, fairly busy road.Couple of minutes drive in the car. :)
The allottment is only about a minute's walk away in the next street to where I live. But you obviously love Liverpool and are as proud of your surroundings as I am of walking through central London every day. Tourists pay thousands of pounds to see the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben etc and I am lucky enough to cross the Thames and see them every day - something I will never take for granted.
mine is a 4 mile walk but I usually just get a direct bus or a train.
