Yes, I agree, and if you want any seeds later on I shall have loads ;D  The flowers on the plant I have are a deep magenta colour.

I know it's not a swap threat but would love some seed too Valmarg (if they would grow in a full sun border)  :)

Ninnyscrops

You are both more than welcome to some seeds.

The plants are only just coming into flower so it will be a week or two before the seeds are ready for harvesting, and will contact you both when they are ready for dispatch.  They are best sown fresh, and left in a cold frame for the winter, ie they readily self seed, but are very far from 'thug' class ;D

Ninny, the plant I have is in the middle of a south facing border, so I think where you are thinking of eventually planting them they should be fine.

They take a couple of years to come to flowering size, but are well worth the effort.

Contact you later.

Will there be enough seeds for me as well ?

No, its not my garden, its Winterbourne Botanic Garden at the University of Birmingham. Edgbaston - One of Birmingham's best kept secrets !

(I guess I could sneek back there and collect my own seeds  :o ,but I'm not that brave)

I'd be grateful for some as well, if you've got any left.

Trixibelle, ninnyscrops, PeskyWabbit and R_B I've not forgotten my offer of seed, it's just that they are taking a long time to ripen.  They have set very well, and I shall be sending them shortly.

Well, a month later, and the seeds have ripened and we've had a few dry days so that I've been able to harvest the seeds.

PM me your addresses R_B, Trixibelle, Pesky Wabbit, and ninnyscrops and they will be in the post to you early next week.
