4 years we've been trying for this![attachment=1]
now to get on the committee.........
glad you got there, are you standing for a position , Tony ?
yes mates, after 4 long years we about to say good riddance to old committee!!
we are having a new constitution allied to those of naslag. one plotholder, one vote, not only the 'chosen few', who elected the same committee for years!
the society has over 400 grand in the bank, but won't spend a penny on maintenance. also over a 100 vacant plots, no contact number, no website, the secretary still uses a typewriter, therefore any communications take months!
security is terrible, access roads potholed, no group purchases, no plant/seed swaps, the list goes on........
As far as I know I'm the only Qualified Organic Horticulturalist in the area, and YES, I want to be on the New, Improved, 21st Century Committee! ;)
Well good luck with your ambitions. Hope you manage to get similar minded types to support you. May be worth while trying to get the 'silent majority' types on board (if i'm not speaking the *****ing obvious).
100 vacant plots ,what a disgrace :o

But apart from that, what's the problem?
400 grand!?!?! SH*T!! I'd give my eye's teeth for any amount with the word "grand" after it!!
All power to you tonybloke! Get in there and sweep clean. How can people justify this kind of non action? Baffles me.
Come on tony bloke we need you up there. ;D
i was talking to some one, they said you have to pay 25p when you pay rent to have the right to vote. is that true tony? if so i gonna talk to the secetery to pay my 25p. i want the right to use my vote.
Go for it tonybloke. 8) Perhaps patrickking04 could join you? ::) ;D Fingers crossed for you - don't forget to let us know the outcome of the meeting. Should be a humdinger.

I was thinking about it, but how many poeple would vote for a 19 year old. ;D plus im not that good at writing letters. :-\
If you are 19 - you are just what they need....young blood. You can learn any skills necessary from the older, wiser members. Go on - do it! Just like healthy compost - a committee needs all sorts in it to make it really good. ;D
