Title: nibbled carrots
Post by: aquilegia on August 06, 2004, 12:11:33
Oh yes - another one I forgot to ask:

I harvested my pot of carrots with the dried up foliage on wednesday (we had them roasted with other veggies and they were yummy!) They were actually a decent baby size too.

Anyway - two of them had been nibbled. I thought if it was carrot fly the holes would be smaller - these were like I'd taken a bite out of them (on the side, near the top). But I know it wasn't me - so what might it have been?

don't think slugs could climb up to where they were growing. Also if it was them - they avoided my baby delphiniums, which i do not believe they'd do.

Ehmmmmmmm, snails?
Them and slugs can make it several stories up.
