Title: Bumble bees

Nearly ran these two over with my wheelie bin!

I imagine they were mating - never seen that before! The female (queen?) was absolutely enormous!

Thanks, Lorna but it wasn't difficult! They were much too busy to care about my camera just two inches away! xxx

Queen bumblebees are enormous, but it's really early in the season for them to be mating. Normally they produce new queens and drones in late summer or early autumn.
