Just watched tonight's programme...........got to be the best ever?
Yes it was, I cant wait for the next series.
I do feel sad that the Dr is lonely :(
For those that missed it try the BBCi.
I shall be watchng it again. ;)
I feel the same.I would make him feel less lonely............. ;D
What a classic, the doctor is the doctor alone and strong. Yet we now have this new doctor hybrid living with rose!!
It pulls so much together, sad about donna.
But looks like torchwood has 2 new recruits.
Donna has been dealt the short stick....Poor Donna :(
Catherine Tate was brilliant
Yes,for the first time tonight I found her character believable............her acting has improved as time has gone on. :)
is it true the next doctor is to be Robert Carlyle?
I heard it was going to be ACE. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
A chandelier in the tardis..nice ;D ;D ;D
I have never ever watched it !

My son just watched it on the website, having missed it live. I looked at it for perhaps 20 seconds. I'd rather watch Star Trek with The Archers on the soundtrack whilst simultaneously having a root canal treatment without anaesthetic than watch another second of it.
Thats a no then? :)

Taking it all in all, and in the round, I guess I'd pass up any future opportunity.
;D ;D ;D ;D
Oh Mel you really dont know what you are missing lol
I love this series and have never up till now been a Dr Who fan.
so now we have to wait 2 years for the next series :'(
I think they are doing a christmas special :)
yep they have 3 specials planned still who will be the next companion i wonder will it be a man this time?
I thought it was fabulous. It's great also spotting all the Cardiff locations, not to mention what looked like Southerndown beach. My Dr. Who was always Tom Baker, but i have to admit I love David Tennant. I thought the library was a really good episode too. And Davros still scares me!
I can just about remember William Hartnell :)
I used to be TERRIFIED of the Cybermen....real hide-behind-the-sofa-stuff. The 'new look' Cybermen are just not as scary....or is it me? :-\
Jon Pertwee was my favourite doctor....I still remember some of his episodes!
saw it and it was great - pity about them only doing specials next year - seemingly torchwood is the same a 5 episode special shown over 5 concecutive nights - what am i gona do for the rest of the year. aaaaaaa even primevil isnt due back till next january
lol im glad ive got the lottie to fall back on lol
The daleks still scare
me.............ex.........TER........MI..........NATE..........ARRRRRRR :)
Rose got to kiss the Dr!! How envious was this old girl! ;D ;D
2 year wait, whats this??? they can't make us wait 2 years!!
On the plus side Daughter number one is hopefully going to Newport uni, so daughter number 2 and I thought we may just hang around in Cardiff to catch a looksee!
I wonder who the new one will be or will he be the same now?I have got a bit confused?
How about a female Dr Who?
QuoteIt's great also spotting all the Cardiff locations
You mean he's not travelling through space and time?
:'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
...William Hartnell - no one else has ever had his gravitas - or his menace. The original, the scariest, the best.
i think the angels and the empty child are far more scarly then the more traditional aliens.
Last one I watched was John Pertwee.
Is it true 'Pertwee' was his middle name and his last name was actually 'Bottom'?
How's this for a Dr Who claim to fame? I once travelled in the front of a van with Davros!
It was sometime around the mid-nineties and I was living in Birmingham. I can't remember the exact reason but I found myself helping pick up a delivery of bread to/from (not sure which) WBA football club. As it was a charity event the organisers had roped in Terry Molloy who has played Davros on several occasions (but not this recent time). Fortunately for me he wasn't in his Dr Who get up at the time - phew! :D
Off to look up the recent episode on iPlayer - cheers!
PS. I've heard that it was originally double-barrelled. i.e. John Pertwee-Bottom ;D
I watched the first two new episodes when Dr Who made a comeback and thought they were dreadful. I didn't like C Eccleston as the Doc and I don't really care much for D Tennant as the doc either. I guess I'm just stuck in a time warp because I just don't think anyone will be as good as Tom Baker! ;D Neither can I get over how the Daleks come off of the ground!! >:( ;D
If anyone gets the chance to see a one man show called "Moths Ate My Dr Who Scarf", by a chap called Toby Hadoke, jump at the chance. He's currently touring Britain, I saw him week before last & it was fantastic - not too geeky & pure genius! You can buy it on Play cd too, I think...
And he agrees, the last few have been some of the best ever.

Birth Name
John Devon Roland Pertwee

Whether it is 100% reliable or not - I don't know!
I would have though urban myth based on pert(wee) bottom!
I suppose the next Dr will have to be gay. ??? :-\ :-* ;D ;D ;D
I'd like it if he turned out to be a hermaphrodite- he has 2 hearts, so you never know what else is a bit odd...
I think we should have a female Dr Who.Not some young eye candy like Billie but someone with a real personality..............someone a bit like Margaret Rutherford used to be...........but knowing all this hi tec stuff.
We girls can do anything ;D
they thought about having a woman before but chickened out. I think they went for Sylvester McCoy instead :D
Russell T thought about it too, but decided it would be too difficult to explain to kids
has everyone seen assistant Katy Manning posing naked next to a Dalek?
The Doctor is coming to the end of his lives (btw he is neither heterosexual or homosexual) although this never seems to be mentioned and may have been conveniently forgetten. If not, I suspect that this might be why he had a daughter and that the next twelve may well be female!
