And no matter how hard Mr Stein tries the harbour at Padstow is full of Spanish lorries waiting for the next catch. Our lose.
There was a programme on TV recently on this very subject.

Saddening reading...
Don't they send spuds to Poland to be washed and sorted ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
apparently this procedure does give jobs to others elsewhere because no-one wants to do it here - 'tis the way of the world - and in some ways it is no different to this country accepting produce from far off lands that cannot grow here, it is all about market and exchange
If it keeps other folk employed when there's no-one here who wants to do it, then it doesn't seem to do any harm.
Unless, of course, you believe all that "global warming" rubbish.
Just a thought, though - in what state do the Prawns go to China , frozen, chilled or not?
If frozen, how are they peeled? And re-frozen??
If frozen or chilled, the van/aircraft carriage must be very costly?
If fresh - a bit iffy. Or niffy??
