Title: Moneymaker
Post by: adamhill100 on August 05, 2004, 08:48:03
Although I am going to use most of these in cooking and chutney.. I had a dozen or so of these which were ripe last night.!  I know the general feeling was that these were a bit bland in taste but they were quite nice really!  Better than I thought they would be.  Maybe its because I grew them.. 8)

I know what you mean, i grew money maker last year and was dissapointed in the taste  :P Bland is the word for it alright.
I have supersteak, tumbling tom red, yellow pear and sugar sweets this year! And huge plans for more next year!

Moneymaker-easy to grow, reliable, good cropper and widely available. Taste-what taste?

If there was one variety I would ban it would be Moneymaker.
