Pulled up a few of my first ever potato plants today - epicure. Had quite a few potatoes, although half had obviously been too near the surface and had gone hard and purple.
Saw this little beauty though. I may have it as a jacket spud with cheese and onion

Tim would enjoy that - just the size he prefers! ;)
Steady now! You don't want to be getting a carbohydrate overdose from all that potato! ;D
Mind you, some people strive to grow mini veg, but probably not that mini.
I might just have a giant hand and that is a normal size potato.....

Hard and Purple !!! oooh Matron. ;D
I'm Sorry....,If Epicure are purple skinned then that's fine...it's only if they are green that you have to worry about them. ;D
ceres is right - here's my lunch!!
My first year on the plot, I'd lifted a lot of topsoil along with the couch turf, and got real mini potatoes; some I lifted were under 1/4 inch. Despite the size, they were lovely.
Why dont you use it as the basis for a range of savoury potato based dishes and throw a party?
Tyke you little piglet how much do you eat for your lunch and how much cheese you gonna need to fill that one lol??? ;D
Perfect for adding to soup
glad it's not just me! I did get some normal size ones on some plants and will be cooking them tonight...
I lifted one plant of a french variety 'ratte'(!!) - renowned for good taste and small size.
I counted 47 potatoes, mostly quail's egg size - just enough for 3 of us.
Might leave the rest a bit longer tho' !
