Been really impressed by these purple chillies, thought I'd share some pics!

are they hot?
how on earth do you know when they're ready ?

They are very pretty on the plant but I am not sure that purple is a colour I would want to eat.

Like blue. Perhaps there is an inert fear of certain colours as food.

Those look excellent, Biscombe, hope my Trifetti look as good when they get a bit bigger.   ;D

Try eating blue mash... I had a colour chemist friend who dyed his dinner once..
I have done it since with Salad blue, and Burgundy red makes a good red mash

They look lovely! I'm trying to grow some purple chillis this year too - they're not even flowering yet though.
