Has anybody tried to grow the above shrub in England and, if so, were you successful? It's a beautiful sweet smelling shrub that has white flowers which then turn mauve and then purple (hence the apt name) and so you get three different coloured flowers on the one bush.
We had these in our garden in Kenya and they were beautiful.

what a lovely plant. The wisley website has it for a greenhouse
It can be grown as a house plant and can go outside in summer. It is tropical but will tolerate dryness.
Is used in summer hanging baskets.
You can take root cuttings.
