Title: Tomatoes....have i got problems or just impatient......
Post by: beanie3 on June 16, 2008, 19:43:22
hi,

Another silly question no doubt, but would you expect anything different from me!  My tomatoes are about 4 foot tall and have 3 sets of flowers on each.....which is great but none of the yellow flowers have developed fruit....what am i doing wrong?.....the flowers are just falling off - is this normal.....

Any advice would be useful.

Many thanks. ???

Shake the plants regularly to aid pollination. ;)

I haven't got any fruit yet, but wasn't expecting any either up here in the North!

Tim gave me this tip and it works, spray with a fine mist of water around dinnertime.

Cool thanks for the advice - i have been up and shook them before closing the door for nighttime!  I will get a misty spray on them tomorrow.....

They are not too early at all for the north, I have got fruit (still green) and I am certainly not the first in the area.
