As I do not know which fruit you are looking for ... or where you live ... you need to fill in your profile  ;) ...

I would suggest :

http://www.blackmoor.co.uk/ ... always my first port of call  :-\

or

hhttp://www.dorset-blueberry.com/products.asp ... brill fruit  8)

or

http://www.crown-nursery.co.uk/  ... for fruit trees

I'm sure folk could help with local to you if you could give us a hint!  ;D

I was very pleased with  www.cooltemperate.co.uk particulary with Jostaberries, Gooseberries and Tayberries

if you want unusual but not such big bushes try
http://www.perennials-of-distinction.co.uk

Ironically I think their white currants were as good www.cooltemperate.co.uk but gooseberries were smaller.

If you are planing to plant them now, I think you'll need to buy container grown rather than bare root bushes.

Also, as you're not in the warmest part of the UK, it is worth checking out which varieties do well in your region. I think this is particularly true of larger fruit like apples and pears.

Hi,

I bought fruit trees from Blackmoor Nursery last autumn and couldn't be more impressed. Lovely people and great trees.

I'm in Northumberland so you can probably grow similar stuff to me - Red, white and black currants, gooseberries, apples, quince, plums, Blueberries, Strawberries etc...  :D

Sorry I didn't make myself clear,  I really meant the varieties of each fruit (e.g. 'Octavia' 'Glen Moy' or 'Joan J' raspberries) rather than the types of fruit.

I've been happy with Blackmoor and also with Reads Nursery www.readsnursery.co.uk (http://www.readsnursery.co.uk) for raspberries and Chris Bowers for strawberries http://www.chrisbowers.co.uk/ (http://www.chrisbowers.co.uk/)
