Title: rats.
Post by: shirlton on June 09, 2008, 19:32:22
Was looking out of back window today and guess what. A baby rat was eating the seed I had put out for the dunnocks and chaffinches.. At first I thought it was a buxom mouse but Tony said it was a rat. I really don't like to kill anything but here is where I draw the line. Tomorrow we will do the dirty deed.

Get in touch with your council.  They have to provide rodent control.

We had them in the garden last year.  Apparently the heavy rain had driven them out of the sewers.

They came round, provided us with poison.  Not pleasant, but I do draw the line with rats.

I'm with Valmarg, Shirl.....get onto the council - you now under B'ham? In Selly Park my friend had The Ratman out last year....one baby signifies a whole family around?....he didn't just 'provide' the stuff for you to use....he set it, gave her clear instructions to leave it for a coupla weeks & to clear out rat attracting stuff & to get back to him if more were sighted. As a service, it worked 8)  Best of luck, Lish x

Now there's something to be thankful for. Imagine going through life being referred to as "The Ratman".

Whatever the jobs you do now, aren't you just grateful that some people are prepared to do the jobs you find a smidge unsavoury (to give it a polite term).

We received fantastic service from our local council, and the people that provided the service couldn't have been more helpful.
