Years ago friends were marrying one Saturday at Birmingham Registry Office - a grim and dreary place :( BUT the reception was at their fave little greek restaurant just up the street. It didn't usually open during the day, but the greek family came out in force and made it, truly, the MOST fun wedding reception I've ever been to....all that food kept coming and coming, as did the wine...the musical members of the family provided a band and all the men were 'encouraged'? :P to "Dance like Zorba".. ;D. Bride and groom did the traditional greek thing & we pinned money onto her dress. Think we finally decanted onto Broad Street about 6.00pm in a conga after smashing our plates and the toast glasses..... All brill, it was 8)
many congratulations ;D
the men all danced like zorba at the wedding, alishka, we weren't allowed to pin money on nikki's dress, she wanted to sell it after :o ;D
you're right about the food and drink, never stopped ;D
the wedding was quite sober, probably the christening will be , too, hope there's a greek restaurant in brighton ;D
with disposable glasses and plates, preferably
That's the best news Mal, tell 'em to keep the cousins coming ;D ;D
